1-Greatlife is a pioneering holistic service delivered to patients with long term medical conditions. This service was set up in 2007 by CK Academy's very own Managing Director, Georgina Jupp and Dr Robert Colby providing both Medical and Fitness expertise.
Our 'Lifestyle Modification Programme' is tailored to the needs of patients with long term medical conditions, to help them achieve lifestyle change as part of the short, medium and long terms aspects of medical management.
The team are mindful of the difficulty found by most patients when trying to adopt healthier lifestyles. Whether it is a lack of understanding of where to start and what to do for the best or maybe previous negative experiences - whatever the reason, we appreciate it makes the process more challenging.
1-Greatlife is NOT just another Exercise Referral Scheme
This programme takes a holistic approach to facilitate lifestyle change and does not merely focus on weight management. Exercise Referral Specialists are employed to provide:
- Case management from point of referral
- Surgery based on-to-one assessments using 'shared' Primary Care electronic records
- Group education seminars covering a range of lifestlye related topics (including Healthy Eating, Physical Activity, Managing Conditions)
- Group functional physical activity sessions
- Coaching and support resources

- Mild to moderate Mental Health Conditions
